Services / Mold Remediation
Mold is a sign of deeper moisture problems. We perform mold remediation work using containment, HEPA air filtration, removal and cleaning methods to properly remediate mold-affected areas in accordance with the remediation plan.
New York State separates mold assessment from mold remediation. Here's how the process works.
In New York, mold remediation projects requiring assessment begin with a mold assessment and remediation plan prepared by an independent New York State licensed mold assessor. Beaufix does not perform this assessment.
We establish containment barriers and negative air pressure to prevent mold spores from spreading to unaffected areas during remediation work.
Affected materials are removed and surfaces cleaned using methods specified by the remediation plan. EPA-registered antimicrobial products, when specified and appropriate, are used according to product labeling and the remediation plan.
HEPA air scrubbers capture airborne spores during and after remediation work.
After remediation is completed, an independent licensed mold assessor performs the required post-remediation assessment and determines whether the project meets the established clearance criteria.
We identify and address the moisture source that allowed mold to develop, which is an important part of the remediation process.
If you see discoloration, smell musty odors, or recently had water damage, call us. We can discuss the remediation process and connect you with the right resources.
